Musculoskeletal injuries are one of the most common problems people of all ages and walks of life face, and because of decreased muscle mass and a loss of flexibility it becomes an even bigger problem as we age. Whether you're experiencing back pain, knee problems, or post-hip replacement, exercise is one of the most beneficial things you can do. Proper exercise done under the skillful eye of your trainer will help you regain mobility, strengthen the muscles around your joints for stability, and increase your balance to prevent falls.

At PTI, all of our exercises are "functional," which means they mimic movements you preform in your daily life both for home activities and when playing sports. This coupled with our expert knowledge of how to balance the muscular forces in your body will help you gain relief and prevent common musculoskeletal problems like knee injuries, shoulder problems, and back pain.

We can also help you if you're going to, or already have had, surgery. Working with a personal trainer before a surgery is a wise choice because we can help you stay fit without doing things that may worsen your condition. We will help you develop strength in other areas of your body so that after surgery you're back on your feet quicker and there's less chance of injuring a different location through compensation. Then once you have the go ahead from your doctor or physical therapist we can also help you regain strength in the joint or muscle after the surgery. Rest assured you'll be in good hands; the trainers at PTI have many years of experience working with people after a variety of injuries and surgeries, from meniscus tears to total hip replacements.
